Aluminum Wing Help

Quick question for ya'll!

I have an aluminum wing on my Cavi. Yes, most people hate them but I've always liked wings. Anyways. When I bought the wing, it was a shinier black. Since I've had it on the car, its taken weather, sun, etc damage. Its faded and I always keep my car clean and shiny. Now that the wing has faded, it looks kinda out of place. Anyways!

How can I get it to shine ridiculously again? I was thinking about dismantling the whole thing and cleaning the hell out of it. Then using an automotive paint and clearcoat on it. Would that work? Not really sure about how to paint aluminum. I painted the inside of my car, but I don't really know much about painting metal. Woud I need primer for it, etc? My other idea was just taking it to a good body shop and seeing if they can paint match it to my car. Don't know if that'll work though.

Any ideas on what to do here? Would it just be better for me to do it myself. Any recommendations on paint, clear coat, primer, etc? Tips?

Thanks guys

If you can find a matching ebay wing that would be the best bet. You can pick them up for real cheap. As far as painting them, I have no clue. Sorry.

Best bet is to buy a carbon fiber wing. Its black and it looks nice.

good luck

For a real answer:

You could take it to get re-annodized or even powder coated.

How about waxing and buffing?

Oi, I knew I'd be bashed with ricer or "take it off comments". I happen to like the look of wings. They stand out more then the lower spoilers and what not.

Gues I'm stuck fending for my own -_-

^^^You Like what you like so no one should really care what YOU do to YOUR car. I had one but took it off after a week. I decided it looked like @!#$.

I would go with painting it. Of course you can get some brasso and buff it and it'll shine it just wont be the same shade you started with.
