im not a big fan of carbon fiber, but that hood is my favorite out of all the hoods for our cars. I would go fiberglass, but your plan sounds pretty good, i say go for it.
^^^I'd say the same thing. I think it would look so much better to have the fiberglass hood painted to match the car, than to have a carbon fiber hood that sticks out like a sore thumb. But thats just my opinion. That hood is definitley my favorite too, cuz I have one on my car too
wish they made it for the frickin sunfire!!! without crappie fitment in the front.... but then again, i wouldnt have the money for one... BUT it would look hot!!

the hood is not the fitment problem...my front bumper is...it should have been built up with fiberglass to meet
My CF turbo sport hood has never fit correctly I've had way too many issues with it fitting on my car. right now it is sitting in my dinning room as a wall piece lol
is it class glass cheeter of gravana?
Gravana was going to make the hood but they couldn't get enough people to order it during the group purchase to make it worth their while. I talked to Jim at gravana and he told me they needed at least 15 orders in before he would start to make the mold. I don't think he got any more than nine orders. Not sure about that though. Thast was the last i heard. I like the hood, i just wish i would have been able to get one. Maybe they will make it later on. At least i hope so.

Quick note i forgot to say was that i was talkin about the 03-05 hoods. Not the 02 or older. Thought i would through that in.

I say if you do go with a CF hood black wheels would look much better. If you go the FG route either black or GM will look good.
im not sure who makes it but im going to find out. hes selling it to me for 450 + shipping. i think it will look sweet. im saving up christmas and birthday money to hopefully get it.

Hey Cheeter, I got the CF Turbo Sport hood from Carbon By Design, and it fit perfectly on my car. The gaps on each side of the hood are only about 1/16 of an inch bigger than with the stock hood. Oh, and I got the hood for only $150 directly from them because it was a "B grade" hood. It just has some minor flaws in the weave, and a few small patches of air bubbles. Thats alright though, because its getting painted when I get my car re-painted next spring.
Mine was from gravana but made by Carbon by design I was on the phone several hours with the owner of CBD trying to get this hood to fit and after exhausted tries I got it on but it does not have a latch only 2 hood locks holding it on. I'll toss it on when I come down Aaron so you can see what I'm talking about.
The hood fit perfect in the gaps and sat prefect and exactly where it should except when I had the latch on it. it acted like it was binding and would not shut properly. I tried 3 different latches (cav, 95-02 fire, and 03+ fire) and was never able to get it to work. I gave up and threw 2 hood locks in it and it seems to be ok now. but it still pisses me off at the fact that I had to use hood pins.
