Place to buy vert top

Well i went to the gm dealer to talk about getting a new top and seeing if they can install it. Well for a top is 1200 bucks and he told me it had a plastic back window. Then i asked him about the weather striping. Aftering adding the top and the weather striping i was up to about 1900 bucks. @!#$ that.

Can some of you guys with verts let me know where u bought your stuff from, I found one site that the top was around 160 and back glass was around 180, Just wondering if that is a good price.

thanks alot for your help

96 cavalier btw

Third gens came with glass rear windows... or at least, they were supposed to. Some had defrosters, others didn't. You can replace it with a plain plastic window if you wanted to... but really, why would you want to? (Other than cost considerations)

I haven't ever seen a second gen with a glass window... I think they all came with plastic ones... but I'm not certain on that.

All the 3rd gen verts I've seen have back glass and most have defrosters (mine and my step-sis do). I'm not sure about the second gens but I know a guy who's first gen had a plastic.

thanks guys!!!

I talk to one lady from some company that i found online for tops and she said don't be suprised if they charge 300 to 400 bucks to install a new top. Is that true?

Also is there any site online that sells a new weather striping kit for the cavalier?

thanks again guys!!!
