1999 Z24... does anyone here know the part # for the socket for the marker/turn signal lights in the front bumper? I went through the catalogs at gmpartsdirect and alldiscountparts and found a gazillion different part numbers but none of the pictures look right. I assume it's the same part number for each side... Also, does it come with the wires in it (or at least the contacts)?
Thanks

Get a light socket that will work for a 3357 bulb or cut yours off and see if the guy at the parts desk at the local auto parts store knows if there is one in stock.
Yes they come with the contacts/wires.
If I wanted a generic socket I'd do that... but I'd rather have one that holds the bulb AND mates in the lamp housing.

From gmpartsdirect.com:
Description: SOCKET
Part #: 12083689

Socket, Bulb R
Thanks but I checked there already and it makes no sense... they list 12083689 for every marker, and the picture shows an illustration of the marker next to the headlight but I checked and the socket isn't the same as the bumper marker socket.

The socket is a right angle assembly and says "P.E.D. F.L. 22.2" on it. Anyone else wanna give it a shot? I called the GM dealership today and they gave the 12083689 number like gmpartsdirect did, but that's the wrong socket.
Once again, it's the socket for the turn signals in the front bumper. I owe you a huge favor if you can figure this one out.

if you told the dealer thats the 1 you need , and that the part # they gave you IT MUST BE CORRECT
It isn't the right one, because that is also the part number for the socket for the markers next to the headlight... and the illustration they have shows the marker next to the headlight.... but THEY ARE NOT THE SAME. They are two completely different sockets... the socket for the marker next to the headlamp is a smaller, straight socket and isn't interchangeable at all with the bumper marker socket I need (I've tried).
