Im planning on picking up the RedRum Customs Lambo door kit off a friend this weekend.
The kit says its for a 95-02 , im pretty sure it will work on my 04 , correct?
( i know the VDI , MMS kits are all 95-05, so i figured these would be too )
Also reading the instructions for the MMS kit , it says i need to take of my sideskirts, and bumper?( i have an 04 LS Sport )
I was told awhile back you dont have to remove either, can anyone clarify this?
Anddd one more thing , i know awhile back someone did a lambo install with pics, i searched and couldn't find it , if someone has it , can they PLEASE give me the link?
I appreciate all comments and help / advice
.

I got the kit but one didnt fit so they sent me a new one and the wrong shock mount. i had to do a little grinding to the hinge to make it fit but they ended up sending out 2 sets of struts to fix the wrong part now i have 2 extra sets of struts
. Ryan and wade were very helpful.
hum. i never had a problem. and wade was cool as hell with me. sorry about your bad luck.

Im sorry he didn't help you out.
Im purchasing these off a friend who knows Wade personally , and they have both been on his car .
He has a 97 Z , so im hoping it should just be a pretty simple install , and i can deal with a bit of grinding.
Also IZN TRBL , thank you for the intall guide
.
no problem man. i wish you luck and let me know if you need any further help.

I noticed you tied to doors together so the one didn't move, would you recommend me doing that , because i planned on my friend holding up the door.
Any other quick tips , i only want to do this once
.
That's going to look good when you are done JeRsEyKid!!! Keep up the great work man...def love the 03 and up cavs!!! Should have waited a year!!!
I'll get mine done this winter. Can't wait!
Eh...old man with a Corvette now...it was bound to happen sooner rather than later right?

well, the instructions clearly say NOT to take the doors off. rather mount a 90' piece of metal to the door and frame so the door does not move. i did not want to do this, nor would i have allot of room left to work. so i tied them together so they would not fall to the ground. also, as you put the hing in to mount, you will need to pull the door away about an inch or so just to get the hinge in. it is a bit hard if you mount angled metal. dont make your buddy hold the damn thing. it is not light.
if you do as i did, it will take you no more than 2 hours to complete both sides with the help from a good friend. trust me. i did one side by myself and it took 2 hours. i did the other side with help from my friend and we finished that side in 1 hour. good luck and please let me know if you need any further help on this or anything.

wow man , i cant beleive i got a positive comment from someone who has such a nice car as yours.
I got a good week lined up, hopefully i can get these doors on , and wednesday my bilsteins arrive.
IZN TRBL , i thank you again , and ill be sure to take your advice
.
F that.... i have a 2 door and have the lambo install on two different cars now...my own and wannabzee (badacedesign) 's
on both of the installs i took all of the doors off of the car to install it..and i picked up the door by myself ! to take it off...
it wont hurt anything to take the door off...and if you have a buddy helping you ...it is actually easier to take the door off to install the hinges
^^
Im not sure, isn't that going to waste time?
In the pics, it looks like you have more then enough room to work with when the doors are on .
Every install ive seen the doors have been on .
( Not going against you Other Matt , im sure it will work both ways )
I cant beleive that came out wrong .
I dont care about time ... but i want it done correctly and preferablly the easiest way.
If i leave the door on and put the hinge on , everything is going to be right there , correct?
If i take the off and put the hinge on , won't i have to re align everything ?
^^^^Yes, and its a PITA. On my 02 Sunfire I had to take the doors off, because the inside bolts are not bolts at all, but lugs- with the doors on, the hinges didn't have enough room to come out. So if you have the option of doing it without removing the doors I say do it. I had (with a buddy) the door off, new hinge on, door back on in about 45 minutes- it took me another hour and a half to get the damn thing to latch, and I'm still working on fine tuning it so it'll latch WELL. If you can eliminate that adjusting crap- you're all set.
I may not be the sharpest crayon in the box, but at least I'm a pretty color
that is correct. which is exactly what the instructions say. if you take the doors off, it will be harder to get it to factory fit again. if they never come off, you still have the same fit. IMO, it is much easier to not take them off. everyone has done their own thing, i am just telling/showing you how i did mine. once again good luck and let me know if you need any further help.
