hey i want to splice into the brake lights, how much power do i get, and still have to bulbs still work, thank you.

You will get 12v DC (or up to 13.8 while driving, due to the alternator). Splicing into it will not affect the normal bulb operation as long as you splice it properly.

Same concept as a trailer light plug (4-pin up to 7-pin). Those are generally installed using 3M Quik-Splice (depending on the age of the vehicle).
