What would be your best option at doing this, I want to smooth down the grey thing and throw some colour to match my car, like on anything past '96 (I think that was the last year of the grey bumpers).
I have a front bumper that's smoothed out that I'll fab up and mount when it's ready, but would like to do the back one at the same time, so it looks better than having one side grey and one side not grey.
I was thinking I'd sand it down and put on some filler or heavy primer to fill in cracks and scratches... then put on a coat of the same colour as my body.
My problem is, can this be done?? Will filler or primer stick to the plastic??
Go to the junk yard and pick up a painted bumper. probably wont cost more than $50 and all you gotta do is scuff and paint.
