Well just as the subject states what is the best method to use to shave moldings i've got a 2005 cavy and had it since febuary will the paint be faded underneathe or should i be good to go?
from what i hear....
fishing line and goo gone.
use the fishing line in a sawing motion up and down to separate the molding from the car. then use the goo gone to take off any gummy residue that has been left. good luck.

Any chemical you use will strip your wax off...so just rewax and you're good to go.
is it required to buff aterwards or just wax?
well fishin line is "ole skool", i have a wide body side molding scraper and i usally just get the end off and pull it off if i know the customer doesn`t want them on any more
or i use a wide body side molding tool that connects to my air hammer and that molding comes off like butter ( experience needed with that)
then i use a pin strip /double sided tape easer wheel on my drill zip tape comes right off
use a little bit of dx 440 for any removing of any material left i usally do buff just to be safe presto!!! all better
can i haz bondo
