i was wanting to get the type j, but as i read on it said that i needed to mod. my crush panel? now i have no idea where the crush panel is located any one?, also i was wanting to know if the Vis invader front bumper,and the Desert eagle from jbp.com was the same? thanks

cursh panel is behind your bumpers attatched to your bumper support. just trim it down, its easy

I had to cut mine off the fire to. here is a really old pic off my car when I was installing the front.. and trimimg the crush panel.

Just about any ground effects kit you get you will be trimming the crush panel . And a nice carpenters saw does work great on trimming the panel down .

The panel is there for a reason though. Just to put a bodykit on, your safety drops massively. Kinda irks me to not wanna get one...

how about just taking the crush panel off instead of trimming it? will the kit still sit right or will it sag?

I've always held this same opinion. Personal safety aside, it could also turn a $500 accident into a $2000 accident, or worse, by changing the impact resistance of the front end and potentially setting off the airbag sensors in impacts they should never have gone off in.

Of course, with that in mind, I fully realize most aftermarket bumpers require this to be done and in a major crash, I don't think it will make much of a difference in personal safety so it's not something I'm terribly vocal about.

Just be aware of the risks.
