Spoiler And Stripe Kit
Monday, July 18, 2005 6:38 PM
The last of the 05 cavaliers came with factory stripe kits, and they also came with a different rear spoiler, i was wondering where in the heck i can find both the stripe kit, and the different spoiler. Or does anybody have a part number that i can get? Any help would be appreiciated greatly. I have a pic of the combo that i am looking for in my registry under my 03 cavalier. Thanks alot.

the spoiler it just one off of a grand am gt, and the stripe kit is something that a vinyl shop can do for you in less then an hour, and a lot cheaper than getting it from GM.

I looked on a Grand am GT and the rear spoiler is different than the one that i am looking at. The one on the cavalier has a 3rd brake light in the center of the spoiler underneath in the center. The one on the grand am does not have the 3rd brake light underneath. I checked with the parts department also, and they don't seem to know what i am talking about, any info would help. Thanks.

The spoiler youre looking for is off of a sunfire sedan.
As for the stripes I have no idea.

That would be the so-called "special edition" Chevrolet Cavaliers that were released around this time last year. To be honest, it was nothing special really, just some left over (vinyl) stripping from the S-10/Blazer Xtreme models, spoilers off a 4-door Pontiac Sunfires sedans and "special" Cavalier sill-plates that you can order through your local Chevrolet parts shop or GM Parts online. It was kinda of funny because some of the Chevrolet Dealers around here tried to jack up the prices of the Cavaliers because they were "special editions" and figured they were worth more, and the said thing is that many a people brought into the hype. I didn't know they were doing it again, this year...but I'm pretty sure you can get what you are looking for pretty cheap if you look in the right places.
