Got my kit in couple weeks ago and sent it straight to my body guy. I rolled up to his place early last week and he had sanded everything smooth and primeired. I couldn't wait to see the kit on the car, so we took one of the side skirts to the car and tried to fit it. The bastard didn't fit. It didn't clear the wheel wells on the pass side. So I went and brought the drivers side out and tried it. Barley cleared the wheel wells, but it wouldn't sit flush with the body, wouldn't sit in the door jamb, and there were also some clearance issues with the door. That's a bunch of
. I called the place out in LA were I bought it from. They said take pics of it on the car and they will look in to it. I haven't had acces to a camera yet so I haven't taken the pics. After I talked to them, we set the side skirts side-by-side and you could see that one is slightly smaller than the other and most of the cuts are slightly different. You better beleive this pisses me off. If the seller decides to issue a refund on the sides, is there any one here that has a set of black drift sides they are willing to give up? Don't know at this point how much I can pay for them, just depends on the refund amount (if that's what they want to do, He kinda hinted at it)?
Or maybe a solution to the problem would be great
where did you buy them from? you do know that fiberglass isnt perfect and that over time the molds wear? your body shop guy should be able to fix it
Same thing happened to me on my old Drift kit. Neither one of the sides fit. We had to do some cutting and then re-fiberglass them. But before you done all that sanding and priming you should have test fit everything.

im sorry, but why in the hell did the body shop primer the sides before they test fitted them? first thing's first, test fit, then primer/paint. very few aftermarket fiberglass parts will fit up well right away. however, fiberglass is fairly easy to work with, so a good body shop should be able to get them to fit with a little work.
btw, good luck getting any sort of refund after you've primered the pieces.
My body guy is a guy I work with. He went to school and graduated for auto body. The reason They didn't get test fitted is because the day they showed up the car was out of town and I had my dad's truck. Since I was tring to get the car ready for the bash (which it wasn't) I got the parts over to him that day. He ended up in the hospital for a couple weeks and I didn't get to go to the bash and I didn't have acess to garage to look at them.
What I really am looking to do is find somebody around the mid-west that has a set painted black already (drift sides)
