Kit installed with paint $$$?

For those of you that had a body shop install your body kit and paint the car (whole car, not just kit), how much did it cost you, wondering on some rough figures, I'm going to start ordering all the body parts and when everything is in boxes filling my apartment, I'm going to have it all installed and painted at once with the car (metalic silver). That way I'm only without the car one time, I won't be driving around with unpainted parts (it's bad enough now) and I will be able to tell everyone that it's in the shop for a mechanical problem and then see the look on there faces when they see my car

1) prices change from place to place so to give a number would be hard. ive seen on here people say anywhere from 700-1500 so its hard to judge.

2) put the kit on yourself. its simple and you'll save money. just test fit the kit, then take it off and send it out for paint.

I got my kit installed by me and my father...After we got the whole kit on, I let me friend (the painter) drive it to his house like a couple to 3 days for the paint progress ...and he took my whole kit off to get all the unreachable places...all in all...Cost me like $530 because he charged me like 30 bucks to shave the antenna...But I had the whole car repainted the factory color but with small metallic flake

I got a kit from ebay, so it didn't fit very well. Needed alot of fiberglassing to fill underneath the headlights, the rear didn't fit, the sides weren't flush. A local shop fixed, shaped, painted it for me all for 1300. Mind you, my kit was in HORRIBLE ebay shape.

like baggedcav (the unquotable dude) said, it varies from shop to shop, area to area. I've NEVER seen anyone install a kit and paint the WHOLE car for $700... personally...

Whole car paint jobs usually start at $1200 (for a decent place), and go on up. Average price I've seen for a kit install and whole car paint job... $2,000 to $2500... sometimes even higher.

Best advice is to shop around for prices, go to different shops, STAY AWAY FROM MAACO NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY, ask if they guarantee their work (if they won't guarantee their work walk away and don't look back), and maybe if they have any examples of their work if you wish. Some places have pics of cars they've worked on... some don't. Just because they don't have pics doesn't mean they don't do good work.

MAKE SURE they WILL guarantee their work!! And go from there

Im thinking the Diza Racing Huricane phaze one kit, I like the way it looks. Anyone know how well these fit.

That would look good on a Sunbird painted metalic silver.
I'll have to have my exuast re-done to fit the rear bumper, but it's not finished anyway.
$960 for everythig
