The paint shop should use a computer to match the color to be honest. Even if it's on 03 the EXACT paint that was on the car will be a bit faded by now I'm sure and it would not match up.

If you still want the paint code do a search through members and put in that color for an 03 and then email them to see if someone will walk out to the car and find the code.

If all else fails, pull the subs and see what it is...but again, the paint shop SHOULD be doing color matching for the paint rather than looking for a paint code!

Eh...old man with a Corvette now...it was bound to happen sooner rather than later right?

For once I actually agree with you totally... wow

To the author:
Anywho's... depending on where you are, not all body shops happen to have a color scanner at their disposal. Besides, if the painter is any good and knows how to blend, the majority of the time all they have to do is blend the color to the adjacent panels, and you'd never notice anyway. No color scanner that I've ever heard of will give you an EXACT color match, they only give the closest stock color... it does not read individual pigments and amounts of pigments for a perfect match... well maybe in a perfect world... but that's not what we have here. Irregardless, you will need the paint code, and as long as the painter isn't a dumb@$$, they will be able to blend the paint and everything will be fine.
