painted head lights
Monday, July 18, 2005 8:00 AM
i'm not going to ask how to open up head lights for the 100th time, i did my homework and read up already. i just have a few questions about the process of painting the plastic. i'm assuming it will need sanding, any suggestions for grit? would a larger can of brush on touch up work, or is spray the way to go? if spray is the best way, what would you recommend as an alternative to buying a paint gun since it will probably be the only thing on my car i paint. arrival metalic blue, is there i place i can buy some of this color pre-mixed? roughly how much paint will be required?

thanx for any and all comments and or suggestions.

id use spraypaint and as far as finding the gm paint in a spray can i dont' know, but it shouldn't take more than one regular sized can of paint. i sanded mine with 400 grain paper and no primer and they came out awsome

I never sanded mine at all and used 2 coats of Krylon Fusion and they turned out great.
