so i went to the yard today and picked up a Ph. 2 spoiler for my car pictured below


but wait....why the hell did i seperate the spoiler to 2 peices?

nope the 3rd brake is gettin shaved though...not why its apart though

separate them into to a top and bottom spoiler? hehe taht would look funny

cause i broke it

no but im shaving the 3rd brake light then makin molds of the 2 peices and then doing a CF version :drool: :drool: to go with my hood/trunk

well i worked on it for like 20 minutes and finished fibreglassin in hte spot for the 3rd brake light,jsut need to smooth it out and start teh molds

you might want to put a piece in the middle there where you took out that 3rd brake light. i'll explain why..... take a piece of paper and fold the 2 ends so that it looks like your spoiler does ( kinda like this |___| only flip it so it looks like a spoiler ). now blow air straight thru the center like the wind blowing thru it..... your spoiler will eventually do that without the right support in the middle, not as extreme or right away but it will eventually. just thought i would give a little heads up on it. the carbon fiber might hold up better too.
and that kids is your science experiment for the day!!! j/k

I agree, so support would be a good idea.

if your vacuume bagging it, I find that space saver bags work quite well.

well im gonna be addin fibreglass o nthe back still,but this is just for teh molds so im not to concerned for how it will hold up on the road,i jsut need it to last while teh CF is drying then ill support it after
