i am reading the directions spal gave me and have a question about the measurement they use on page 4.

below in the picture you will see a measurement of 1.25" they say it should be, when i compress it all the way it only goes to 1.5" are the directions wrong or should mine compress more?

try to compress it more... if not... see if u can rig it to work right... that's what i'd do anyways... never had that problem tho

Hey i just installed mine today and i wonder the exact same thing. I just ignored it. Hook it up with the lines crimped and get adjusting it till when you push down on the moving part it will open the latch the crimp it tight. I used the exact same kit

do that, i hooked both up in under an hour

quick question, i have power door locks but want to disable them from being able to lock, do i just leave the plug unplugged at the door latch? (i already tie strapped the lock so it can't be locks manually).

ya just leave it unplugged and zip tie the manual latch.
