Just wandering if any of you had hood pin clips on a newer cavy. I know they look cool on the old muscle cars but was thinking about doing it to mine. Wouls any of you have a pic of a cavy with them on. Thanks
if you have a fiberglass or carbon fiber hood, you should have hood pins. if you have the stock hood, it would be pointless. There's also a few different types of pins. The old school muscle car styles, and the tuner ones. Mine are made by Sparco. Here's a pic of them on my car:

Actually I believe he was talking about on the forums in general and not this particular thread. Beside that fact is there ever really any kind of a reason to resort to name calling over any type of misunderstanding? Take things too seriously and life will slip right by you like a theif in the night.

Rice adj. (in this case) It origanly was used to describe small import cars that started to turn heads at the track. import cars came to the track due to the gas prices skyrocketing but thats something elese. rice rocket origanly meant a good thing having a rice rocket meant that you had a fast small motor car. well sure enough the import scene developed its own style. and it was long before the import craze hit the street. and sure enough it carried over to those who were in it for the style. there for people who were not for the craze droped the term rocket and started calling the new cars rice in a derogitive sense.
so there you go and it's ok to call certain things rice. its a word used to descrbie something. it's not attended in any way to affend asians (although I could see why it might) so I cant figure out why people are so worked up over it.

sparco hood pins. Also, if anyone has seen this style pin in an anodized yellow, pls let me know. I have seen them in other colors, but I can't find the yellow.
