keep in mind the front fender is not the one goin on the car cause it was a test piece that didn't work well. and i have a lot of shaping to do on the car and still need to add a lot. question is after i get this thing glassed over and all, do i needn to add foam behinf it again cause the foam on the car now has tape behind it, or i guess that could stay back there. and how would i attach this thing to the car? just glass the esdges to the car? and let the crazy words and slamming begin!!!

Please tell me that isn't Great Stuff foam...

I hope you used the right type of foam, fiberglass resin melts a lot of types of foam, including Great Stuff....

You attach it using a compound made for it, like Fuzor. You should have the fiberglass thick enough that it wouldn't need to be reinforced behind it, I would do a LOT of smoothing to that foam before fiberglass even touched it, otherwise you are going to be doing a lot of sanding and filling later.

yeah you are on the right track. just glass a lot and a lot of mat and you wont need to keep the foam behind it. My trick to attaching it to the car is this. Once glassed to the right shape take it off. Then make a flat surface that will be used to pop revet it to the car. I use a piece of cardboard to make it flat then just quickly sand it down then go from behind and pop revet it to the car. Then you can glass it to the side or the car and not have to worry about cracks....
