the bottom part of y front bumper could use a respray... but im thinking if im going to spend the money to repaint the front bumper, i might as well go along with my idea to two-tone my cav by adding silver to the black. So my question is, the black on my car is in perfectly find shape except for swirl in the clear coat. if i had a silver designed going from the front bumper, down the side, and to the back of the car, would they still need to repaint the entire car, including the black? or could they just sand down the clear, add the silver, and reclear the entire car? I really dont want to pay 3 grand for a full paint job if most of the car is staying black. but i dont know enough about painting to know whats possible. thanks for your help.
sorry i just reread that and saw the many many typos i left in there. hope it doesnt interfere with your understanding of my post. its 1:45am and im kind of tired, lol.
Depends on the shop really... and what YOU want.
Of course the WHOLE car is going to need to be recleared... but since they do have to do that anyway I wouldn't see the harm in respraying the black. But you need to talk to the shop, tell them what you want done... and go from there. (bear with me I just woke up)
dammit adam, im thinking of doing the same thing.
would it really cost 3 grand to paint the whole car. ive never priced this before and thats a lot. would you have the silver go below the front lights so you can keep your black lights cuz thats what i wanna do
$3,000 is actually a normal price for a two tone paint job... if you want it done right
3,000 is cheap for a complete paint job with graphics, my prices start at 3,000 for something like that and go up
it`s always a good idea to have fresh base coat down when doin a graphic, not sayin what you want done wouldn`t stick it would but better to be safe then sorry
can i haz bondo
