I'm gonna pick up a carbon fiber hood from a buddy of mine..
The problem is when he bought it from a friend he didnt use any insulation underneath it and now it has heat fade under the clear coat, can i wet sand it down and spray some clear coat over it again or what? the clear coat on it looked pretty thick and the fade was almost right above the CF, Suggestions? Opinions?
a pic or two would be great. ive got no idea from how youre describing it.

i dont think my cameras will show it with detail but i'll try to explain it better
So on the hood there is yellow fade around where the valve cover is,
This was most likely caused by the heat rising off the valve cover
I can see the yellow and it looks kinda like it was faded from the other side ya know,
I can see the surface and its all nice and shiney but using my depth vision i can see that the fade is right above the carbon fiber..
^he's got super DEPTH-VISION! is it bad that I read the title as 'Refinishing CF roof'?
But I think if the problem was caused by heat, there's not a whole lot you could do. But I'm no CF expert
is it faded or is it fogged up?
