i was wondering if anyone has done something similar to this and how much it ran them...i'm looking around for prices here and i just want to compare to make sure i'm not gonna get ripped off...also, what type of paint do you recommend?

Well honestly prices vary from shop to shop, from region to region. For example, auto body and paint may be more expensive in Cali than in Wyoming...

For paint like that I'd recommend X-otic, they have a HUGE variety of things to choose from as far as flakes, pearls, metallics etc. Little more pricey, but REALLY awesome!! Much better than HOK in my opinion.

If you don't want to go a little more pricey (for what you want X-otic shouldn't be much worse than "stock" paints)... I'd recommend DuPont
