Thinking about changing out from a base front bumper to a z24 bumper. What exactly do i need as i have been hearing and reading lots of different things...

you need a Z24 bumber, a Metric Wrench set, and about half an hour.

For the 2k+, all you need is the bumper.

No, they are exactly the same. In 2000+, the Z24 bumpers are exactly like the base model ones (such as the one in your sig), only they have grey center vents, and outer fog lights.
