Well i havent been on here for a while, just used the classifieds and read about turbo is bout all i have used the org for awhile. Anyway, on my 96 Z i decided to do a 00 headlight swap with black headlight housings and corners. i had some APC Clear corners for 95-99 on my Z currently and got bored today so i thought i would try and make one black. I used to see the black corners for the 95-99 on eBay but not anymore.. So i tried, the first one i put in to bake at 350degrees for 5min and that wasnt good, it warped and in the process of trying to remove the clear casing i pryed the wrong direction and broke the clear casing so that was trash.,Since i destroyed the 1 i figured why not try again.. Learning from my first experience, i heated at 250degrees for 5min, whew no warping, then took a small flathead screwdriver and pryed on the housing and started getting it off. prolly coulda kept it in the oven for 10-15min but i didnt kno how that would been..so i got the casing off and had some flat black laying around from when i painted my 00 headlights so i painted and resealed it....Tell me what you think..

All together this cost me roughly $35 and thats with the cost of the clear corners... i dont see why people would rather pay close to $50 for a set when they can make some..So for anyone who decides to make their own good luck!
I think it turned out pretty cool. Clear corners are pretty easy to make, you just have to be careful about the heating and prying.

because some people don't want to run the risk of melting the corners and thus throwing away the $20+ for them and getting another set to try again.
but yea, if i were you, you should do a couple sets and put them up on ebay.

^^^ actually thought about it...just dont have the money right now.. i do understand cuz i was sorta worried bout ruining mine but i realized it will be changed soon and didnt really care..but still i rather run that risk than pay 2x as much for a set...
