an almost imperceivable deformation on fender...
Sunday, May 29, 2005 7:13 PM
The way the light hit my car today I noticed for the first time a small 'dent' on the top of my fender... It's almost impossible to see unless you look edge on and down and under certain lighting conditions... It's hard to describe, its localized to about a 2" diameter (best guess) and it's just a 'divot' or a dimple... cant find the right word... deformation, distortion... LOL.

I know the average person probably wouldn't see it, but now that I have seen it... It's eating me up!! Any chance something like that is covered under warranty? Only had the car about 3 weeks or so, it's brand new and I'm fairly certain it's been there since the dealership had it. I can't see how I could have done it.

If not covered by warranty, how hard or expensive it is to get fixed??

i think the dealership is gunna give you about as much warranty coverage on a dent as toyo will give you for running over a nail.... even if it would be the nice thing to do, dealerships dont go through bull@!#$ they dont gotta

On the other hand....you have other fingers.

THE WORLDS FIRST GAY POTATO!:Amaze and delight your friends, dress it up, take it to the cinema or just sit and admire it's firm silky buttocks and when your bored of it .. lob it in a casserole dish with some onions and carrots.

Your best bet would be to find someone that does paintless dent repair and have them fix it, It's so much cheaper than taking it to a body shop

Thanks.. I didn't think it would be covered under warranty, just shows my n00bness.. LOL

I'll look into the paintless dent repair..

Maybe I'll just leave it until I'm ready to two tone my car and get it fixed then... Like I say, the average person probably wouldn't even notice it...

i work for a dealership in NY and i can tell you that 1 in every 4 people come in and leave , then discover something wrong with their car and come back blaming the dealership. however , most dealerships have damage sheets detailing any ding, scratch or dent in your vehicle when your writer draws up ur repair order .
just like glass is not warrentied on a vehicle, body damage is also not covered. i had a problem very similar to yours. someone hit my car with a baseball literally 2 weeks after i got it and although not extremely noticable i fcking flipped out. i used the "as seen on tv" dent popper and believe it or not it worked.

when i bought an 03 gmc safari 2 years ago i noticed a ding on the sliding door after arriving home, called the dealer and it was fixed for free.

on my 05 cav i noticed a ding around my wheelwell 2 days after i got it home same thing called the dealer and it was also fixed free of charge.

try talking to the dealer and see what he says.

I vote PDR if the dealer will not handle it.
