I Just got my 2003 cav and i plan on buying the summit body kit from Andy Auto Sports
About how much should the install and painting of the kit cost. I really have no experence with body kits because my other cars have been all jeeps!

And if you have any other cool ideas for my cav please let me know

the install is real cheap. you and a friend do it yourselves. as for the paint, i cant help out a whole lot 'cause i dont know where you live. if you live in california i know a great place that is very cheap.

If you've never done body work.....have someone else do it.

Paint and installation costs vary from region to region, area to area, and shop to shop. ALWAYS remember cheaper is NOT usually better. A body kit install shouldn't be so hard you can't do it yourself... unless it's fiberglass and needs a lot of modification to fit properly.

As far as paint goes, if you have no clue what you're doing, just take it to a professional. I've been doing body work and painting for YEARS... but I nor anyone else can give you instructions over the internet on how to do it properly. YOu need hands on experience, and someone to show you exactly what you're doing, what to look for, etc. Every paint is different, every clear is different, and the only way to know if you're spraying right, need to lay on the clear thicker, or not as thick, or whether or not your metallics are laying right, proper ways to spray, gun pressure and spray patterns, etc... is to watch someone else do it and have them explain to you what each thing means, what does this mean when it does this, what does it mean when that does that, etc. If you lived in PA or closer to PA and wanted to learn I could teach you... but unless you can find someone in your area willing to work with you... well then you'd have to go to a school and learn that way. Please don't take that as me comming off like a biotch... I'm usually willing to help those who are eager and willing ot learn, but those who come on here and know NOTHING at all and want a 300 page instruction manual on how to do it, or those who think that auto body and paint is easy and doesn't take any skill... those are the people that get to me. Not saying you're like that because you're not comming off like that at all... but I just wanted to explain myself a bit.

Like I said, if you need any pointers or anything... that's what I'm here for and that's why I post in here and try to help people out... unless they're just being stupid lol.
