Here is my dilema folks:
My 1998 sunfire 2 door struck a yellow parking post in a hospital parking deck. My fender was banged up pretty bad, and my door was bent inwards on the fender side.
i was about to purchase a used sunfire door from someone, till i got there and found out it was a 4 door. (you'd think they'd mention that)...
regardless. I was offered a cavalier door to replace it.
MY QUESTION:
Will the cavalier door have the same lock rod routing/will the sunfire Interior bolt in with no modification. I've heard of people doing interior swaps. I need to know if i could use a cavy Door for my sunfire.
Thanks in advance!

R.I.P. Brian Klocke, you will never be forgotten
That's funny. I hit a yellow light pole base last year, and still have the yellow stripe on my pass door!
The door is a direct bolt-on. The doors are exactly the same. The only thing you'll have to change is the lock cylinder so you can use your existing key.
the interior pieces will also go right on the door once you replace it

Good to know, i was wondering this....
but remember the sunfire/cavalier door pieces arnt interchangeable because of clearance with the dash, so if you put sunfire door panels on your cav...your door wont close right ....(im talkin interior wise)
You will want to keep your lock cylinder and interior door trim from your wrecked door.
The metal door shells and supports for the arm rest and what not are the same. The only think I'm not sure of is the locations of the screws along the bottom of the interior trim panel but if they don't line up, you can make new ones. They're only self-tapping sheet-metal screws. The holes for the trim plugs should all line up.
