I have a 2000 Gt and I'm about to replace the stock fog light bulbs

I've heard a few people saw that you can upgrade the bulb to make it brighter? I know there used to be a site that had some how to's for j bodys.

Anyone know anything about either of these topics?

Hmmmm....now im not familiar with actually changing the foglights themselves..however, i just swapped in the clear turn signal housings from a 95-99GT into my car to replace the amber ones...

1. Remove rad cover
2. Remove the 2 bolts on each headlight
3. carefully pull headlight out (but not all the way)
4. unplug the wire harness from the headlight, set headlights to the side
5. you now have access to the turn signals or the foglights below
6. turn the foglight adaptor that holds the bulb counter clockwise about 45 degrees
7. change bulb
8. go backwards from here

2000+ gt fog light housings will melt if a higher wattage bulb is put in.... several ppl have had this issue... dont know if a solution has been found yet
