well i have an 01 GT fire...and would like to replace the 2 front amber turn signals with clear ones similar to the fog lights just below

what am i looking at to install these?
will i need to remove the whole front bumper?
can they be dessembled (bulb changed from clear to blue for example)
are there bulbs are blue non-lit, but light up amber?

thankyou!

get a set of turn signal housings from a 95-99 sunfire GT. they are the same size and will fit where the amber ones are. shouldn't be very hard at all, and you won't need to remove the front bumper to do it.

not sure what you're asking about the bulbs though.

thanks...

where cna i pick those up? a scrapper or order from somewhere?

and...the bulbs...

are there such thing as bulbs that appear BLUE when NOT LIT (ie. signal is NOT flashing), but when they ARE LIT (ie. signal is flashing) light up orange?

or is this just a rumour?

go to a junk yard, buy some from a 95-99 sunfire GT, then buy some silvania silverstars as shown in the the pic, and put them in.

if your talking about how to removed them, theres three washer like thing that hold them in to the bumper(they haver a piece of rubber covering them).

You can try to find a used pair of clear signals at a junkyard, but chances are they will be yellowed and dingy. Your best bet is just order a brand new pair from a Pontiac dealer. I paid $75 for mine.

01. Remove the radiator cover (long plastic piece) if you have one
02. Remove the two bolts from each headlight housing
03. Remove the bulbs and harnesses from the headlight housings
04. Carefully pull the headlights out and set them somewhere where they won't get broken
05. Remove the three washers from each signal housing
06. Install the clear housings
07. Plug your Sylvania bulbs in and twist them into the housings
08. Make sure the bulbs work properly before reinstalling the washers on the signal housings
09. Plug your headlight harnesses back into the headlight housings
10. Reinstall the bolts on the headlight housings

I got mine at Schucks/Checker. They probably have them at AutoZone, Pep Boys,... or you can order from the source if you want to.
