heat helps. You don't have to... but why wouldn't you? just steal your moms hair dryer
what i did was heat it a little with a blow drier, and use a piece of fishing line to sort of "saw" it off. after that, use some type of adhesive remover to take off the crap that is left.
If your going to use the fishing line be careful not to slice your fingers, maybe cover them with band-aids or something. After you pull the emblem off after sawing through the glow, i would recommend Goo Gone or Goof Off and just rub it off with your thumb.
Then wax the spot where it was after a good cleaning.

What i did was just use a hair dryer to make it easier to get off. Then took fishing line and removed the emblem. There was goo left on there so i got out the Goo Gone and rubbed it off with my thumb and now it looks much better. Goodluck

just don't partially use the fishing line then rip it off. make sure you have it cut all the way through. then go to town with the goo gone
