Yo man, i hear that all you have to do is sand it. But you just keep gettin' more and more grit sand paper until it is some wut shiny the toy get one of thoughs polishing bits for the dremel and polish it to a nice shine. Then you clear coat it to k its shine or get this stuff from Summit caled zoop and it will stay shiny for years.
Its just a suggestion man, good luck!

Just started the polishing the valve cover, the letters are coming along nice, but I'm running to walmart to pick up a dremel tool, cause I'm using a drill right now but its taking forever and killing my hand... Pics coming soon

polishing metal takes forever, its a pain at best and a headache beyond anyones imaginiation when it goes wrong, my brother polished his motorcycle frame a few years ago, an older 89 suzuki 1100 his advice when i wanted to persue this idea was to get some 600 grit and keep at it then switch to 800 or a thousand possible going higher till it really shines, you can also use dremel attatchments and polishing compounds for the last few steps or hard to reach areas, i've got a 2200 and i was thinking about doing somethin like this, but thats a project for winter .
