This might sound kinda crazy but here goes... How hard would it be to put the stock chevy emblems back on after removing them? Would it be as simple as applying some strong double sided tape? I am asking this because I was thinking about removing them, painting them, putting them back on.

As far as painting them would I need to sand them down first or just clean them really good?
actually, 3M makes an adhesive specifically for this. it's called 3M Plastic Emblem & Trim Adhesive. small black tube, works wonders. you can find it at walmart or any auto parts store like autozone.
