do u think 5% black tint is too dark for the rear window and the 2 triangle windows? i got a 97 Cavy 2 door
i dont like the look when the rears are darker tint than the front.
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

^^^anyone else got any opinions on this?
I was thinking about goin 5% on back three windows, 20-25% on driver/passengerside doors and 5% tint strip on windshield.....
anybody have it like this or anybody at all have any opinions?
by the way, i have a 2 door cav that already has 20-25% on all windows besides the front windshield.
thanks
i did 15% all the way around on mine and i love it to death. was never a big fan of different %s on all windows but one thing i wish i did was the strip across the front but o well
RIP JESSE GERARD.....Youll always be in my thoughts and prayers...
I have 5% on the rear three and f'n love it. I went with 35% on the 2 front and it blends pretty well. I wish I had went one darker on the fronts, but I doubt i'll get pulled over for tint the way it is. Plus a 5% 7" strip on the windshield. Overall it all blends nicely.
i dont think its too dark. once you get past 20% it really doesnt make a difference.
I'm getting my windows tinted tomrrow, going to ask the guys what they think would be best % wise...
I'm thinking 15% all around...
15% all around is perfect. Wtih 5% you CANT see in (at night) and CANT see out (night). Its really hard to back out somewhere if its dark out. Trust me.
Plus i like uniformity....i like everything the same, IE: the tint all the same.
With my 5% you can't even see in, in the daylight, but both during the day and at night I have no problems seeing out. Granted night time is a little more difficult.
i say any tint on the "outside" of the car is stupid.. seeing how this is the "exterior" forum... that MUST be what ya mean
20 or 15% all the way around is perfect for me
Is 15% dark enough that people cant see in though? Thats why I want it for the most part...
Plus it looks badass...hah

yes its dark enough, depending on which way the sun is, you can't really see in, unless its shining throught the windshield.
if cardomain wasn't acting up i'd show ya some good pictures
ive got 15 in the front and 5 in the back and i was glad i chose this instead of going with the legal limit. to me it was too light, and whats the point of spending the same amount of money for hardly any change.
i just got mine done today and got limo in the back and 2 sides. i think 15%on the doors. i like it darker in the rear myself though i see yalls point of view!
Well I'd like to go as dark as possible, but I don't want to get pulled over for it and have to rip it all out...
so, people with the rear windows darker, can u tell much by looking at it from the outside? what i mean is, can u really tell the back ones are darker and if there is much difference does it look ok or not? Im asking cause i was looking at retinting the back three 5% and leaving the front two 20% cause my car already has 20% all around.
thanks
5% is really really dark though isnt it?
wouldnt you get pulled over for sure?
I own a 04 LS Sport and I have 5 percent all around plus the 5 percent strip accross the front. NO ONE can see in at ne time plus it looks sooo badass. REMEMBER- NOT to tint the top part of the back because of the AC defroster will F*** it up after awhile
GO ECO GO!
how can you see though, that has to be tough at night...
and the cops dont give you crap?
Well I ended up going 20% and there will be a 5% strip across the windshield on sat, they ran out of time today...
Heres a pic, can't really tell too much from the angle though
what fun...
^^^looks better, hard to see it in that pic though
i just had my car tinted 15% All the way around and must say i love the look inside and outside, my only gripe is the guy that did it screwed up the drivers door, i guess my window glass was at an odd angle and most of the way rolled up, but when you roll it up all the way hard against the top of the door the window shifts in its track by about 3/4 of an inch so the back edge of the glass is bare, my back window looks alittle funny, but as the tints drying its coming along nicely over the matrix, i'm hoping it'll all lay down and be a nice even shape/border against the dots. one thing i have some concerns with and since everyone here has tint, i'm curious about imperfections in your tint, my cars been tinted for 4 days now and already i've got little spots that look like blisters all over the edges of my windows in the tint film, i've got some cuts in the tint already but i think my doors are just F*%&$% from the factory, anybody else have these little spots showing up in their tint? the guy at the shop is tellin me its normal, its my actual window glass that has the imperfections and the tint is just reflecting that and since i just shelled out 200 bucks for this "professional" tint job i'm makin sure i get a 200 dollar quality tint job. thanks in advance for any info
