OK, I've decided on my future plans for my 99 Z24. First off, I already have done an 04 LS Sport front end conversion (still needs a tiny bit of work done for it to be finished) and I think I'm going to also get the 03-05 style trunks with the bezel in the middle. I'm going to get all the bodywork done (fix the accident damage to my rear bumper and taillight area, fix any small dings/dents, fix the dents in the roof from my CF hood incident
, etc.). I had a few questions I want to ask so I can continue on with planning.
1. Does it matter if I buy an 03-05 style body kit even though I have a 99 (will it still fit)?
2. Do I have to buy an 03-05 trunk or can I make one from my 99 trunk?
3. Has anyone ever bought an 03-05 urethane Drift kit and had any problems with it (fitment, etc.)?
The next couple questions are more opinion biased questions:
1. Which would look better in your opinion: all black style (black rims, black paint, carbon fiber exterior parts, etc.) or white body with a CF hood, CF taillights and trunk bezel and white rims?
2. Which would look better : 03-05 Drift kit or 03-05 Type J ( I'm leaning towards Drift since I seem to be seeing a lot of the Type J kits lately but I'm just seeing what others think based their own personal experience or whatever)
I'm still working out all the details but hopefully I can start working on my projects as soon as I can. I'm going to also try and get an entirely new suspension setup (Tein coilovers or Tokico D-Specs) and also the Baer Big Brake kit in the near future but I really want to get my kit/wheels first before anything.
1. Doesnt matter, it will still fit. the sides are the same, the only difference with the rear is you'll have to take off the plastic inserts under your outer tails to put the bumper on.
2. No, no need to buy another trunk. line up the bezel and drill holes through the trunk to mount it. the only difference between the 03+s and the previous cavy trunks are that there are extra holes in them to mount the middle bezel.
3. No idea, i dont have an 03-05 nor do i have the drift kit. sorry.

Thanks for the comments Adam. I think I'm going to go the path of the white body/CF hood and trunk/gold rims with a nice lip to them just because I haven't seen one that looks like that on the .org yet and plus I think it will look pretty sweet. I'm still undecided about which kit I want though. I really like the way the Type J looks when it's really low to the ground but I also want to have the Drift front and put a CF splitter underneath it. I think it might be harder with the Type J and I don't know if it would look really good with a splitter since it already has a big lip to it but I really am undecided. Maybe I'll do Type J side skirts and rear bumper and have a Drift front with a CF splitter under it.

you wont find a urethane drift kit for an 03-05. they stopped making them.
