I'm in the process of installing my lambos. Ive installed the shock, but i have to struggle to pull the door down, and when i open them they shoot up, fast. Is it the shocks they say 750 lbs. I have a four door. Are the shocks wrong? Please help me out.
I think they are the wrong shocks. I have 750 on my 2 door you may need the 700's
I would say the shocks are most definately wrong, but I do not know which shocks would be right...
You need a lighter shock because on a door car the door is heavier than a 4 door's in reason thats why you need a lighter shock. Did u get yours from joe? If so, just email him and he'll just swap them out for ya.

I was in contact with him throughout the day and it looks like he was shipped a set of 750's instead of 700's. The 700's are already in the mail and on the way to him

my doors do the same, i have a 4dr also n its gard as crap to close them n open them with out chipping the paint!
Ted - Where did you get the kit from? Also, what poundage are the shocks? If you want 700's, I may be able to help ya out......
i got mine from tr motorsports, i ordered them throught the phone. theres supposed to be sending me out lighted struts, which they say will arrive today, but there prob the same as the ones that i have, but just a lil lighter..... i want the ones that swing out losely and u have to help them up urself, cuz wit my shaved doors its soooooo hard to open n close my doors........ everytime i have some 1 ride with me i either have to closed the door and open it for them or i have to have a 10 min teaching lesson on how to open and close them
Joe-while on this subject, is there anyway i can get another 2 750lb struts for my MMS kit i bought form the GP? Reason being just incase something happens like it did last year i was outta luck and had 2 big shows to go to with NO struts

haha i have to take people to skool before i even let them inside my car...most of my freinds know the rules though
uhg, this seems to be a common issue with lambos... the school part i mean lol. my lil sister cant shut the door herself, and i gotta lecture everyone on how to close it, and if they miss and hit the striker on the door, im gunna shoot em lol
man i had the same problem. i contacted redrum customs and had purchased a new set of shocks for 300.00. i kept the 750 lbs just incase, but i think id rather have the money now.

yea, tell me about it. well that was the price they asked for back then. i dont know if they still would ask for the same price today. i needed the low power shocks and they were the only ones who could help me. oh well.

Chris is upgrading the new hinges i believe, correcting common issues, new set should be 100%.... and from what i am understanding, better than VDI
Everyone should be scared about a Door come crashing down its bound to happen.
Now when im cleaning or at shows i also have made somehtign up to hold the doors open even if there were NO struts. Just in case.
OR while your cleaning just open like normal.......if u got a kit that allows that
I got a kit that allows that, just rather them up i guess.
