I have the VIS Racing Type 6 hood on my 04 cavi, with sparco hood pins. Well, around the front of the hood pins on my driver side, the cf is cracking. Anyway I can fix this or at least stop it from progressing? Also, the hood pins are rusting, would a good coat of silver paint stop the rusting? Much thanks for any help.
repainting over rust isnt going to stop it. just buy new pins that are the same style. as for the crack, im not sure. if you do fix it, you might wanna think about getting part of the hood painted. if you do fix it, you are going to be able to notice it.
yea, idk how you would fix a crack in carbon fiber and make it look good. might wanna try talking to a body shop or maybe ben since he works with it so much. but i agree with baggedcav98 about gettin it painted cause it's probably gonna be real noticeable
