I have drl (daytime running lights) and sometimes they dont work. The relay will just keep clicking and after a while they come on.But the other day they started doing it again but never came on.. i checked the bulbs...both good...high and low beam both sides, even switched bulbs to the opp. sides. Only the drivers side hi and low beam work. The pass side low works but not high,but when i pull the drl relay out of the fuse box, the passenger side hi and low work and the driver side dont work at all.. any suggestions? im really confused on this because i know both bulbs are good and both bulb connectors are good. <br>

The passenger side light doesn't work at all? Then you've blown a fuse.

Try disabling ur DRLs, it may do something. Search for the thread that talks about grounding the BCM <br>

Ok... well stop taking the DRL relay out of the fuse panel... because that's adding another variable.

If the DRL relay is in... and the bulb is not working properly.. then the DRL's aren't going to function right either. If you are SURE that the bulbs are perfectly fine (check with a new bulb to make certain, sometimes they're on the way out and they will cause problems like this)... then check the wiring/socket with a voltmeter. The socket should have +12V all the time on one wire, and ground with the low beams on another wire, ground on the other with high beams.
It's possible the DRL relay is bad, but that's rather unlikely given what you've described.

I had the same problem with my DRL's. The dash light would blink and I wouldn't have any DRL's or highbeams. I checked the BCM, relays and replaced the headlights without any success. The only thing that was left was the wiring.
Under your battery is where there is splice in the line for all your wires. One wire gets spliced for the DRL's for both headlights. So one wire runs from the inside of the car to underneath your battery. Then there is a splice that goes to both headlights. When we got to the splice in the line we saw that the one for the DRl's was completely corroded. It fell apart in my hand. My friend and I cut out the bogus wire down and soldered the wires together and viola working DRL's. I believe it was a pink wire (main) that had to be soldered to the two headlight wires (pink and orange if I remember correctly).
I hope this fixes your problems guys. I was glad when I got my DRL's and highbeams working again.
Since there are a couple of these DRL threads I decided to post in a couple of them....hopefully no harm is done.
i kinda have the same problem, cept sometimes when i put my headlights on ... its takes a while (1/2 second) for my left one (drivers side) to come on. I have not done anything ... i just left it alone. What could be the problem??
