hey guys...i was thinking about a sunroof idea and i was tossing around the idea of a power moonroof. I was thinking of getting one from a grandam GT or a 3rd gen Z24. I just need to know if the moonroof would fit in the sunbird ?? or are the rooflines different ?? like is it possible to get a sunroof install shop to install a 3rd gen power moonroof in my 2nd gen sunbird ???

the roofs on the 2nd gen. Js i think is a little more square than the 3rd gen. but there is only one way to find out and just a little FYI they are power sunroofs not moonroofs, not to be a dick or anything, but moonroofs go in to the roof itself and power sunroofs open up over the roof(like mine).

This topic is old but I have the same question.

Does anyone know any bodysho ANYWHERE that would do this? I called all the body shops, glass places, and even places that specialize in sunroof/moonroof installs and none would install a moonroof that i bring in. This is West Lafayete, IN.

Does anyone know how to put one in? I know it is not as easy as cutting a hole and dropping it in...or is it? I would rather pay $100 + labor that $700 I was quoted to buy a new one.

Even if some people do it themselves I would look into it.

anyone looking for a unroof, I have a brand new power one i will let go for next to nothing.. I have had this thing forever and really want to sell it. It is brand new and was taken out of my car not after 2 weeks from the purchase date to replace with a sliding ragtop.

Yeah, I probably wouldnt do it either.. Theres alot of liability when cutting a hole in someones roof..

Anyone at all have some information to this? Is there a way to maybe sign a paper that says I understand the risks and will not hold "so and so" accountable if my roof collapses?

I would love to get a moonroof put in my car. Someone must know of somewhere or how to do it.
