i just wanna thank a few people for the parts that i recieved from ... . titus2669... AND ... crackerrocket....
welll heres my story ... i had previously attempted to do the swap with a 99 lid ... that use to be teal ... i stripped it and then primered it and attatched some 96 tails on it ... i got really lazy and never did get it painted ...
i put my trunk back on (03) cuz i got tired of ... lookin like my car was hit from the back ... got fixed and never got painted ....
so my second time around ... i worked on some deals ... i got a silver cavi trunk from titus and tails for just over 100 bucks ... N a spoiler for only 20 buck ... also silver ....
i got it installed tonite .... without a hitch .. ill have some pics soon i find my digi cam ...
i just did mine this weekend...pics will come tom. or soon thereafter
If I wanted to do that, I would have just taken the reflector out, put some 95-99 tails, and then just refilled the 7 bullet holes that are left, alot cheaer to do.

unless of course you find one already your color
Acutally to fill those holes would mean that you have to repaint the trunk. I think it would cost more then 100 to fill the holes and paint the trunk.

YEA I h ve the spoiler for sale .... im only askin 40 for it .... im not really sure if i want to sell it though ... but if you give me 40 for it ill sell it .... its silver with few minor scratches ... its still mounted on the 03 trunk ... so yea if you have aim hit up on aim .... im pin0ynellie the o in pin0ynellie is a zero ...

i had my 03 trunk quoted at i think 500 hundred somethin because ... the guy said ... he would have to weld in all the holes .. think theres like 7-8 holes ... and repaint it ... and try to match the paint with the rest of the car .... ... so yea ... thats no were cheaper as to just buying used .. and in your color .... i got the trunk for less then 100 ...so thas cheaper .... aaha ... and its wasa perfect color match as far a fadinf paint goes ....

is there any type of seal that goes around the outter tail lights?????
i have a set of 95-99 tails and i put em in once just to looky and it seems like there's just too much of a gap. people also have talked about leaks in their trunks from this point.

The stock lights have a weatherstrip seal around them that is black...most aftermarket lights I've seen don't, so there is a gap.
I got some stockers in trade from my sister-in-law for some euros that came with the trunk swap.
So I have no leaking problems so far..and we've had a few crazy rain storms.

just take the seal from the others and put it on your new ones...use some sort of cheap adhesive that doesnt stick too much, just enuf to seal it

Will the 04 spoiler fit on the 02 trunk lids?? I have an 04 LS and I hate the Center peice to the lights and I really dont wanna get the CF filler. So I wanna know if I do get the 02 trunk lid, will the 04 spoiler fit?

^^^^^^yes it will but the 02 spoiler wont fit a 03. the reflector gets in the way.
