I want to get a HID lighting kit for my new car and I'm wondering if there is any street legal kits out there?

The only way hids are legal are if its installed from factory or a dealer installed option. Everything else is illegal. <br>

yeah what he said.....but if you do it right and have minimal glare then you shouldnt have a problem...i had them in my projectors and never got bothered once. <br>

Yeah, i have a 8000k hid, and sometimes im scared to drive because their are very bright and blue. also i dont have projectors as of yet. So my system really stands out there and also legal

ive got stock headlights only cuz they dont make projectors for the 00-02 crowd, were neglected. ive got the same kit as Jeter from hidynamic.com, the 8000 kit. Theyre not all that bad if aimed properly, ever since i aimed them right i havent gotten even one guys flashing me, and cops always go by me, they wont donothin. <br>

Who else sells the kits for the 95-99 cavs?

Here is the deal with headlights: no aftermarket HID systems are legal. Actually even installing a factory HID system into your housing is illegal. The way the law is written, you must have the entire housing from the donor car installed for it to be legal. However, most authorities won't even question your setup if you don't have glare.

Projectors are the way to go unless you want to do the kind of mods that Viper or John Piparo did to have HID's that would appear factory.
