First off i know about hpt and personally i have no care for it because i want very basic tuning. So to my question, I buy the parts for the saab kit, then get gm s/c reflash
since i would be running map based at this time could i possibly use a s-afc 2 or the aeromotive d-fmu and a rrfpr to adjust fuel past 14.5 psi of boost? and i could use an msd 2 to change my rev limiter if i wanted to. please be open minded and helpful on this subject, ive done alot of reading and i believe i could run these on the reflash since it would be
tuned for boost. thanks for all the help. also would the interceptor guage work good too? so to read boost pressure and delet error codes from the ecu?
You take a women and X her by PSI devide the legs and you can then juice the car......LOL
Well...... Considering the Dis 2 cost between 200 and 400 ish (not really sure on price just guessing) and the Safc is not worth any amount of money. I say go with HPT and be done with it. Either that or just use the GM reflash.
Either way HPT is going to do everything you want.
Oh and btw MSD CANNOT up your rev limiter.
why are people so against using mechanical tuning methods to control the gm reflash?

Because they are not that great. If this is the route you want to go you would be better to not do the GM reflash and just use a FMU set-up. I have seen a Ecotec run 18psi on a factory motor with a FMU. It can be done, but is not the best.
FU Tuning
... why even get a reflash in the first place then?

he told you already , your rev limit will be at 6450 , no matter what you do
unless you change it with hpt , or a full stand alone computer
only thing you can do is LOWER THE REV LIMIT from stock
the areo force wont tell you boost , atleast the way your used to seeing it , youll have to figure out the conversion for it , since its not a vacuum/boost reading , also with out the s/c program it will never show any kind of a boost reading
the safc will cost you more head ache than its worth , and will never be as accurate as using hpt to tune the car
using fmu's work , and are reliable
