In case anybody was wondering whether it was possible or what the upper limit on injector control for the stock PCM is... I am now running 1000cc injectors... the cold startup is a bit rougher than I want (I need to tweak the injector constant a bit more) but the warm AFR and warm low rpm/low tps cruise is at a very solid 14.5 - 14.9:1....
They are set to idle at 28 psi of fuel pressure for reasons that have nothing to do with HPTUNERS. Low RPM's and mild throttle they are very responsive and at 19 psi @ around 5500 rpm in 4th with mild tuning are barely over 40% duty cycle... plenty injector left for the amount of power I want to make.
So - as a headsup - yup it's do-able. I know I couldn't get an answer because nobody had tried it yet, not even Chris @ HPTUNERS had an answer for me... haha.

thats awesome to hear man. I run my 650cc at stock fuel pressure, they run fine. If you run them around the 19psi mark, around 43 psi the 1000cc, would actually be around the 450-475 mark. Thats frick'n awesome to hear

wow congrats man... I know i'm going to be tuning in my 720's on my setup come spring and I will absolutely be looking for some of you help and insight. With so few people running big injectors, and big hp numbers on the jbody it's nice to hear you're having good luck with it and being ground breaking

Whoever said I wanted to max out a set of injectors? I didn't - that's an asinine thing to do.
I calculated my desired power, maximum fuel pressure, maximum duty cycle, and then picked an injector from there that would be SAFE to do the job I require them to do.
if I wanted to max out an injector I would have kept the brown tops in there.

Wow dude.. my duty cycle is like 42% at 12 psi of boost lol... on 650's..... I think before that at 9 psi it was 27%
