is this a good combo unit for turbo and s/c reflash???
thanks in advance
You take a women and X her by PSI devide the legs and you can then juice the car......LOL
no
look into HPTuners or megasquirt instead of using the reflash with a turbo setup
with hpt can you raise the speed limiter for drag racing??
i know you can raise your rev limiter
i believe i read about it before
but the biggest thing is i really dont want to learn hpt
and plus does a 2bar or 3 bar map sensor work gd with hpt?

well i'm sure i can do it, i'm just lazy lol
i just figured the s/c reflash would be a simple fix for me
i might look into ms
hpt is just so damn expensive and so is greddy emanage
if i had like a cheat sheet then i wouldn't mind it
i've been building computers since i was 15 (now 22) i understand wiring and the basic concepts its just time consuming
do you think ms would be a better alt for me??
thanks

thanks

Just to lazy to use HPT's? Its the easiest and well... most lazy form of tuning because it is so easy. If you and I took two Identical cars, newly boosted that need to be tuned. And I had HPT and you had MS or emanage, You would start by wiring the car, I would start by pluging in a wire and lisencing. By the time I could be done tuning, you would still be wiring. Which one is easier now? Not to metion with MS and such you have to create your own base maps and stuff. Go with HPT's.

well i bought the emanage for my car from a fellow org member....and i bought it like 6 months ago....i am just starting to get back to doin the turbo.....and decided not to use it.....it looks in perfect condition and the guy b4 me was running 10 psi on it on his 2.4....but itll hook up to any car and work .... i bought it for 350shipped but ill let it go for 300 shipped....im just tired of looking at it on my floor....

ya but with hpt you have to tune with numbers right??? this XXXXXX # =value correct???
or when you plug it in since it starts from your existing ecu stock tune you'll understand what each tune means when you start using it???
also would it be a more accurate tune if you use a 2bar or 3bar map sensor with hpt???
i might be willing to pay someone like 100$ to help me tune my car with hpt
i just want the safest most accurate tune i can have something that i wouldn't have to do ALL THE TIME
thanks for anymore input/suggestions

emanage will not work on 90% of ecotec ecu's without doing the VSS mod (no i won't tell you how to do it). Because there is no open loop operation on the majority of ecotec cavalier ecu's, meaning that the ecu always monitors the O2 sensors, and will pull whatever changes you make back to 15:1 air fuel ratio no matter what... BAD for boost. Me and my friends were among the first to discover this while trying to tune a 2005 cavalier with a custom turbo kit. On 6 psi with a T3 Super 60, with Emanage, 440 CC injectors at 100 PSI of fuel pressure (fmu was among many things tried to get the afr to acceptable levels) and it STILL pulled injector pulsewidth to attain 15:1 afr. I saw a dyno of someone with the Hahn Portfueler... something like 4 extra 500CC injectors on top of the stock ones, and it STILL pulled pulsewidth all the way down until it say 15:1 afr from the O2 sensors. Later on, we found out from people on this site that doing the VSS mod would put the ecu into a sort of "limp" mode that would put the ecu in power enrichment all the time and let you richen it up.
Doing the VSS mod will give you open loop whenever the VSS is disabled, but as said many many times before, the VSS mod is stupid and shouldn't be done for many many reasons. My advice to you good sir is to spend a lot of time researching your car and engine before making any major engine modifications such as a turbo kit. As I see it HPT is the best all around tuning system for the Jbody so far.
