On hpt, under torque management, there the spark retard ->vs torque reduction (retard vs rpm vs % torque reduction). Can somebody better explain this table better? when would the car see 45 degrees timing (at any rpm) would be 100% torque reduction.
Wouldn't it be better to play with that table and make it so that there would be less torque reduction applied ( so u don't lose any).
Anybody try this? Brian ?Shifted?

Shifteds 'kinda' right...... There are setting stock on a 5 speed.... and it is functional..... I found out by setting everything to MAX........ felt like traction control on an auto. I set it all to 0

so is that the table you set to 0? But if you set the timing to 0 wouldn't that mean it would kick in right away. Wouldn't we have to set the table to max timing so its never hit(used), cause the timing would never get that high.

let me open HPT and look..... pretty sure 89 was max, 0 was min...... and I set it to 0

let me know when u look at it.
89 degrees retard was max , and 0 retard was min . But the degrees retard is what triggers the % of torque reduction. Or am i looking at that completely backwards?

I may be wrong on this, I haven't messed with it yet, but I was thinking it was the opposite. As in the % of torque reduction (and rpm) trigger the degrees retard.

lol.. see i see it the other way.Cause if you think about it ur way, then there would be no way to get rid of the torque reduction(i may be totally wrong). Maybe Speedracerz will read this again and point us in the right direction.
