how much spark advance is everyone else seeing? i'm seeing up to 40-42 degrees and only seeing KR at very low rpms in between 1500-2200. but its very small about .2 of a degree no more then that.

i'm pretty sure you should see more than 15 degrees advance above 6400... if i remember correctly, my advance was around 24degrees at 6400 and kept increasing the higher my RPMs got
I'll check it out today when I get out of work (and if I can liberate the laptop from my roommate)
I still have no spark ramp out in my software
I contacted HPT but they haven't gotten back to me as of yet. Still having my speed limiter is the only thing i'm actually disapointed with from the HPT software

I'm running the beta 2.1.11 right now on the cavy but still no ramp out numbers, hmmm I wonder what the deal is with this... I will have to send HPT another email.

Im still waiting for 2.1.11, I have modified my Advance up to the default 6500, after that it pulls timeing and I cant edit values. My advance is 24 though in the 6000s, I rose advance to 27 and got 1 KR between 6100 and 6500, that was running 93 octane, so for now Im keeping it at 24. Im also running leaner than stock.

i turned my vcm off to detecting any knock. i never budges off 0 doesnt even hit 0.2KR.....check out these tables what i did was set everything to 0 and i havent seen see KR ever since.
Spark control> Spark Retard> Knock Retard Attack (ECT gain)(BARO Gain)(Base Retard)
Spark Control> Spark Retard> Max Knock Retard> (vs RPM PE)(vs VAC NON-PE)
...BTW i'm running 87 octane

uh... i would turn your knock sensor back on if i were you
if you advance timing up top just a little too far, and you start to detonate, it doesn't take long to do damage... and even if you don't hurt it right now, you're weakening it for down the road
tune the car so you don't get KR... I'd accept up to 1 degree of retard sparatically.. if you get it constantly, thats different
don't turn you're knock sensor off you're going to regret it.. especially on 87 octane... <slaps head>
please just friggin put super in the car.. especially with your KR turned off... cuz now, not only are you running fuel thats prone to detonate, you turned off the vcm's only way to detect and counter detonation (retard ignition timing)

i tuned it back to stock for now. after driing around for a while with it tuned then putting it back to stock u feel a difference in performance. just temporary while i get my $hit together money wise =)....full 93 tank was put in yesterday.
