I have HP Tuners and a friend of mine has a stock 03 5 speed Sunfire. He wants to know what the gains will be if I do it for him. Do any of you know? Thanks!
with something stock? pretty much nothing at all, tell him to spend that 450 on a TB and intake

how exactly do you mess with the spark tables , in the high octane just raise them by 1 until you get knock?

Before you play with them, you have to set the low octane and high octane tables the same, for both the regular tables and the PE tables. Then do some logging to figure out where you have knock, then adjust the areas you don't have knock up a bit, and the areas you do have knock down.

Buy stuff from CarCustoms Ebay! Won't be disappointed!
well the stock tables are not the same, the high octane has alot more advance across the board

How much power are we talking here....ball park
with intake and full exhaust
I have one true love in my life...And my girlfriend sits next to me in it
hard to say nobody has dynoed baseline, then made a bunch of changes to an NA car and compared the difference, im not sure how much you can get out of spark advance alone

is there any another indicator of to much spark advance other then knock? is there any potential preformance loss other then timing being pulled from knock being present from advancing the spark?

Yes, Acer, you can lose performance by advancing timing too far w/out Knock, but yet, none of us know what that point is yet, eventually someone will figure it out with a lot of $$ and dyno time.
