plans for my 2001 z24 2.4 are 1997 ported head with stainless valves, high flow cat, headder, 2,5 cat back exhaust, and a 50 hp shot of wet NOS. auto trans daily driver. can i run it like this daily with no tune done or am i taking a chance of blowin the motor?
Needs a tune if your going to run nitrous, and to get the most out of the other bolt ons.

Thanks. I cant seem to find a place to tune a ld9 around here. On this forum Ive heard about a place you can send your ecm out for a bench tune.(you give them the specs of the car and add ons) Its called extratorq. I went to the site and it seems like a good place to have it done. Anyone have it done with good results? Any pros or cons with doing a bench tune?
I would not bench tune a car with nitrous.

oh come on... its a 50 shot for crist sakes. a WET shot at that.... if he runs premium gas, and ngk tr6's he will be just fine without a tune. people did it for years without HPT. and some a hell of a lot more than a mere 50 shot.

I agree it run fine without a tune but our cars computers suck and you wont notice too much of a difference with the bolt ons or ported head until you tune. Also from what I have read people around here have had terrible experience with bench tunes...trifecta especially.

Vince aka trifecta will not even tune our cars anymore since he has blown so many of them up.
