I need some help/info on bypassing the passlock on my racecar. I got a wiring harness out of a 97' cavi and we stripped out all the unneeded stuff, then when we went to start it the security has the fuel shut down. The salvage yard didnt give me the keys to measure the resistance and I have no idea how to bypass this. Our first race is next week and im about to pull my hair out trying to get this running. All my power is ran off toggle switchs (ign.,fuel pump, fan) and I have no instrument cluster either if that matters. Please help I wanna race next week and it's not looking good so far!!!! Thanks and have a great day.
I know the instrument cluster is needed in unison with the ecu to start.
Ok now my next question does it have to be the cluster from that car or can I learn the computer to any cluster?
I have this exact same issue, in the exact same situation! I am pretty sure that you can shut the passloc off w/ HPT? I don't have HPT or know anyone who does? How about a dealership? Does anyone know if this can be done w/ a GM scan tool?
HP tuners can do it and so can the tech 2 scan tool at the dealer.
