Quick question about wb02 sensor placement

Ok I am hoping to do my le5 manifold swap with 36# Saab green tops. Now I have a aem wideband that I'm using. Question is will it be to far down stream if I put it in my pace setter down pipe? I really hope I don't have to put it in a runner on the header. I decided to go ahead and get another bung instead of doin like I said in my last post seems much easier. Just let me know guys thx. Sorry if it's been asked before but searching on a iPhone is a drag. Thx.

I'm assuming you have a bosche wideband sensor. You don't want to place it too close to the valve or else you risk burning it up and if you are only using one sensor, you want an average AFR across all 4 cylinders, so keep it out of the runner.

a good rule of thumb for distance is 10 times the pipe diameter and make sure it's in a 10 or 2 o'clock position

Exactly, or a 45* angle and offset from the other factory sensor bung(if your using that.)

Got the bung welded today. It's right after the bend in my pacesetter downpipe. Is it nomal for the af to fluxuate during cruise? It goes from like 14.3 to 15.1 or so bak and fourth. But so far with the le5 manifold and stock 02 injectors at wot I hit 75.6% idc at redline and it goes from 11.5 afr at about 80% tps to 13.5 at 100% tps so I see what everyone means it does infact start to lean out. Next comes my 36# Saab green tops and a tune.
