So today I was going to attempt to do some work on the tune in the 2200... This morning I attempted to pull up HPT and do some quick looking through the tune I was working on and had my list of small grievances that I had discovered since I got the car running and driving a little over a year ago. When I attempted to open my current tune file in HPT editor the program stops responding. The entirely rediculous thing is I have modified this file previously on the same laptop with the same windows 7 version several times with no problems.
Anyone else ever have issues with Windows 7 and compatibility with HPT v2.22?

I'm running 2.22 and XP with no issues - not sure but perhasp you should try re-installing the software. Sorry but I have no windows 7 experience.

Tried reinstalling the update to no avail...was going to try a full reinstall soon.
I appreciate the suggestion but XP was SERIOUSLY different from Vista/Win 7... There is support and XP and Vista are listed under supported OS's...7 is not, which is why I'm concerned about compatibility.

Been running hpt on windows 7 x64 for a good while. Modified my flash a bunch of times with no problem and my buddies gtp a few times.
^^ I did have to download the digital drivers off the hpt site, if you havent done that yet check it out.
Ive run it in 7 64bit, set it to XP compatibility mode.

i have also heard of disabling something on the boot menu when you start the computer. it was on their site.
you could also try copying the values off your old tune and just doing a paste into a new tune file - maybe it somehow became corrupted.
Thanks guys! I will try that.
Heavy: I tried opening other files....all of them do that.

oh man, that's too bad. Thought there was maybe a simple solution.
I'm running it on windows 7, you have to download the win7 specific driver pack and install them to make everything work correctly.
