How do you go about getting such a file? I'd love to help - i have and can get stock tunes, but i don't think that's what your after.
I am not sure if HPT can get the raw bin file?
I know once you use HTP to edit file it then saves it to its own compression file .hpt,
If HPT can not do it, then it will be tough and I may have to wait till my Hardware is ready.
I am hoping someone has a stock read of one of these (pref o2 to o5 eco) that is the full 1024kb bin file.
I am hoping to get a head start on finding maps and tables while we wait for the hardware.
Anyone familiar with HPT know if you can get this?

I don't think so - my stock 2004 cav file is 386kb.
Would any of the products
on this site help?
There is a OBDII PCM reader/programmer. I know it's centered around the LT-1, but maybe it can still pull the .BIN file you're looking for? Good luck and let me know if i can help.
I am working with a company to make similar hardware (1k buffer and 4XVPW enabled) but with the hopes that it will be much cheaper.
Goal is to make a Tuner that is OPEN SOURCE and the hardware to use it will be $150.
The Software and Gui may not be near as clean as HPT and others, but for $150 will open up the Market quite a bit in my opinion.

Keep me updated Rob, I wouldn't mind testing some of this out if you needed help with it...
